About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase and delivery of LP gas ranges under a twelve-month term contract with renewal options. The procurement seeks nine total units across four distinct models: four 36-inch IMPERIAL Model IR-4-G12-P ranges (or equal), one 48-inch IMPERIAL Model IR-4-RG24 range (or equal), one 60-inch IMPERIAL Model IR-6-RG24 range (or equal), and three additional 36-inch IMPERIAL Model IR-6 ranges (or equal). All ranges must be freestanding propane models with stainless steel construction, multiple burners with specified BTU ratings, cast iron anti-clogging burners, adjustable temperature-controlled ovens, and lift-off burner heads. Quotations were due on March 27, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. Palm Beach County local time, with submission acceptable via fax or email. The resulting contract shall be for twelve months or until the estimated amount is expended at the County's discretion, with an option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods upon mutual written agreement and subject to annual appropriations. Pricing must be firm and fixed with no escalation clauses, presented in single unit prices, and remain valid for ninety days from the opening date. All goods must be new and current manufacture, include factory/manufacturer warranties effective upon delivery and acceptance, and be accompanied by at least two complete shop repair manuals and maintenance instructions, with deliveries made Monday through Friday excluding holidays on an F.O.B. destination basis with all transportation and handling charges included in the quoted unit price.
The County requires vendors to submit all-or-none bid responses with every item quoted; failure to bid all items renders the entire bid non-responsive. Vendors must be registered in the County's Vendor Self Service system and may qualify for a 5 percent Small Business Enterprise (SBE) preference or a 5 percent local preference if located in Palm Beach County with a valid Business Tax Receipt. The County reserves the right to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and will return any items not meeting specifications at the vendor's expense. No incumbent vendors or current contractors were identified in the solicitation documents. The RFQ does not specify a stated award value or budget range; pricing will be determined through the competitive quotation process based on vendor responses for the nine range units.
