About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) has issued a state and local contract opportunity for Railway Equipment Company, soliciting bids for unspecified railway-related equipment or services through a competitive procurement process. The opportunity is specifically located in Dallas County, Texas, with a bid submission deadline of August 28, 2025. Potential vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access full bid details and must adhere to strict delivery and payment terms, including FOB Destination shipping requirements and Net 30 payment conditions. All submissions must include comprehensive pricing information, detailed item descriptions, quantities, and unit prices. Vendors are required to comply with DART's Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which outline performance expectations, delivery protocols, and potential grounds for contract termination. The procurement process emphasizes precise delivery timelines, with explicit notice that failure to meet specified delivery rates could result in order rejection or default termination.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, the procurement includes several notable compliance requirements for potential vendors. Respondents must provide certifications verifying they do not have contracts with foreign terrorist organizations and do not boycott Israel. The contract will be governed by Texas state law, with legal venue established in Dallas County. Invoicing procedures mandate submission to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate, with one copy marked 'Original' and including specific documentation such as purchase order numbers and detailed item descriptions. Though exact award values are not specified, the opportunity suggests a potentially significant procurement for railway equipment or related services. Vendors must demonstrate commercial warranty compliance, meet equal opportunity employment standards, and obtain written consent for any contract assignments. The procurement process appears designed to ensure comprehensive vendor qualification and strict adherence to DART's operational and legal standards.
