About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of rail lubricant under Work Order #3124386, posted May 1, 2026, with a response deadline of May 8, 2026. The lubricant will be used for installation in DART's Automatic Rail Applicators over a one-year contract period. The required product must be clear, clean, colorless, non-staining, and non-drying with biodegradable and friction-reducing properties capable of preventing rust formation and corrosion across a temperature range of 0 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Vendors must supply 125 units of 35-pound pails with liners and provide on-site technical troubleshooting services for the wayside lubricators in operation. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and delivery timing and rates are essential contract requirements with strict adherence mandated. Vendor failure to meet specified delivery schedules may result in rejection and default termination by the Authority. Submission requires Bonfire registration and completion of the price schedule form, with all costs including supervision, labor, equipment, materials, warehousing, and carrying charges included in the bid price with no post-award adjustments permitted unless specifically authorized.
The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to disadvantaged enterprises or particular organization types. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. DART's standard payment terms are Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing purchase order numbers, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals, with payment made 30 days from invoice receipt or purchase order receipt, whichever is later. All purchase orders are subject to DART's Terms and Conditions, which include requirements for commercial warranties certifying merchantable quality and product specification compliance, equal opportunity employment practices compliance, and certifications regarding non-association with foreign terrorist organizations and non-boycott of Israel provisions. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County. The not-to-exceed budget for this one-year procurement is $50,000.
