About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Purchasing Department, issued Request for Quotation (RFQ) #950641R/CR seeking repair and calibration services for radiological equipment on a term contract basis. The procurement encompasses six line items covering minor and major repair and calibration services for three types of radiological instruments: Ludlum handheld models 26 and 26-1, Ludlum portable models 52 and 52-1-1, and Thermo-Fisher RadEye handheld models G, GF, SX, and PRD. Quoters must provide firm, fixed unit pricing for each item on an "all-or-none" basis, meaning all six items must be quoted to be considered responsive. All repairs must utilize only new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts meeting manufacturer specifications, with recalibration performed to standards specified in FEMA REP 21 or FEMA REP 22 as applicable. Quoters must include all costs related to shipping, insurance, parts, labor, and materials within their unit pricing, with repair costs not to exceed the cost of purchasing an identical new instrument. Required qualifications include provision of a three-month minimum factory/manufacturer warranty on labor and submission of references demonstrating similar services performed within the past three years. The quote submission deadline is October 15, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. Palm Beach County Local Time.
The successful quoter will be awarded a contract for twelve months with the option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods, subject to mutual written agreement and appropriation of funds, with an anticipated contract value during the initial term of $50,000. Palm Beach County offers a 5% local preference discount for quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County. Additionally, an S/M/WBE (Small, Minority, Women-Owned Business Enterprise) program preference is available for certified firms within 10% of the lowest responsive quoter's price. Quoters must register in the County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system and ensure all subcontractors are similarly registered prior to contract finalization. No incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure integration requirements were specified in the procurement documents.
