About this opportunity
The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to establish on-site pharmacy services for their clients at the Fredericksburg Clinic located at 600 Jackson Street, Fredericksburg, VA. The selected proposer must be qualified to dispense narcotic, psychotropic, and routine medications in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The proposer must provide pharmacy services during RACSB's regular business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and have after-hours access for medications. Proposers are encouraged to offer closed-door weekend and holiday hours to support RACSB's programs. Proposals are due by noon EST on May 17, 2024, and RACSB may request oral presentations from selected applicants. The successful proposer will be expected to provide services as an independent contractor, lease approximately 500 square feet of space from RACSB, and directly bill and collect payments for pharmacy services provided to RACSB clients.
The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current RACSB client insurance payor mix is approximately 50% Medicaid, 5% Medicare, 16% private insurance, and 34% sliding fee scale. RACSB employs 12 prescribing psychiatrists and nurse practitioners and serves approximately 4,000 individuals annually across 40 different programs, but the RFP does not indicate any incumbent vendors or current contractors.
