About this opportunity
Lubbock Power & Light, a municipal utility in Texas, is requesting quotes for on-site heavy-duty vehicle wash services with quotes due July 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. through the Bonfire Portal. On-site services only are required; mobile wash contracts are excluded.
The scope covers six vehicle categories priced separately: small bucket trucks (GVWR 19,500), large bucket trucks (GVWR 26,000), front-end loaders (GVWR 16,000), boom trucks (GVWR 26,000), small service trucks (GVWR 9,900), and mud removal services as an additional line item. Quotes must be submitted on an F.O.B. destination basis with freight pre-paid and allowed.
The initial contract term is one year from approval with four optional one-year renewals under the same terms. Rate adjustments between renewal periods may not exceed the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index or Product Price Index, whichever is more appropriate, for the preceding twelve months. LP&L reserves the right to award on an item-by-item or all-or-none basis and may reject any or all bids.
Bidders must certify that quoted prices represent their lowest prices to other customers for comparable products and services and agree to provide most-favored pricing if lower prices are offered during the contract period. Payment terms default to net thirty days unless a prompt-payment discount is offered. Quotes must remain firm for a minimum of ten days.
All bidders must carry commercial general liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, and garage liability of no less than $2 million combined single limit, with the City of Lubbock named as an additional insured. Bidders must complete an insurance requirement affidavit and provide a valid certificate of insurance within ten days of award notification. Material Safety Data Sheets for all hazardous chemicals must be provided.
