About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on a Quarterly Tape Order, with bids due January 14, 2009.
The scope consists of tape supplies to be ordered on a quarterly basis. Unit prices must be submitted separately for each item. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified in the purchase order. Maine is exempt from state sales and use taxes and federal taxes on non-resale items; bidders must exclude these from quotes.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value to the state, with evaluation considering quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. Cash discounts of twenty days or more will be considered in bid evaluation; discounts under twenty days will not be factored. Tie bids will be resolved in favor of in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine.
Sealed bids must be submitted to the Division of Purchases office, Room 119, State Office Building, 9 State House Station, Augusta, Maine, prior to the closing deadline. Bids received after the closing time will not be considered. The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, and accept items or groups of items deemed in the best interest of Maine. The state also reserves the right to increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to ten percent unless otherwise stated in the bid document. Bid tabulations will be made available for public inspection following contract award.
