About this opportunity
The City of Fort Worth, Texas is requesting bids on water and sanitary sewer replacements with associated paving restoration under Contract 2021, WSM-G (City Project No. 104669), with bids due October 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CST and a prebid conference scheduled for September 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. via web conferencing. The City's Small Business Ordinance No. 27832-08-25 establishes participation goals for small businesses on contracts of $100,000 or greater.
The scope encompasses water line work totaling approximately 20,530 linear feet of pipe ranging from 6 to 16 inches in diameter (ductile iron pipe, PVC, and steel casing bore); sanitary sewer work of approximately 7,730 linear feet of 8-inch pipe (PVC, DIP, and stainless steel by pipe bursting); and paving improvements totaling approximately 125,800 square yards and linear feet combined, including pavement pulverization, asphalt overlay, surface milling, and concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and alley repairs. Work is distributed across multiple streets in Fort Worth.
Prequalification documentation must be submitted at least seven calendar days before bid opening for paving, water and sanitary sewer work, and auger boring. Contractors must perform work valued at not less than 35 percent of the total contract value with their own organization unless otherwise approved by the City. Nonresident bidders must underbid responsible Texas bidders by the amount that a Texas resident bidder would be required to underbid a nonresident in the bidder's home state to obtain a comparable contract. A bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price is required. Questions are due by 2:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to bid opening through the Procurement Portal. Award is anticipated within 90 days of bid opening, and the successful bidder must execute and return contract documents within 14 days of receiving the Notice of Award.
