About this opportunity
The St. Johns River Water Management District is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Purchase and Delivery of Liquid Aluminum Sulfate. The District is seeking bids from interested parties to provide liquid aluminum sulfate meeting or exceeding ANSI/AWWA Standard B403-09 on an "as needed" basis for use in various treatment projects to capture and settle phosphorous prior to discharge of pumped waters to surface water bodies. The liquid aluminum sulfate must be delivered in liquid bulk, chemical tank truck loads of approximately 4,500 gallons (12-13 tons dry). The contract will be for a three-year period with an estimated budget of $525,000.00. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on August 4, 2022, and the District will award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Minimum qualifications include having successfully completed at least one similar project within the last three years with a project value of at least $150,000, and having at least three years of experience on projects of this nature. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The IFB does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. Additionally, it does not provide any information on incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The IFB does, however, specify an estimated budget of $525,000.00 for the three-year contract period.
