About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is conducting an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) to establish a contract with qualified suppliers for Promotional Products, pursuant to the State Purchasing Act. The procurement seeks vendors capable of providing display, exhibit, promotional materials, novelties, specialty products, souvenirs, and advertising prizes across multiple NIGP commodity codes. The current solicitation (ID: 67fd0a6a56cb8d1e17020116) was posted on April 7, 2025, with proposals due by May 7, 2025. The contract will serve not only GDOT but potentially other state governmental entities including state offices, agencies, authorities, departments, boards, bureaus, commissions, institutions, colleges, and universities. Additionally, local governments, municipalities, cities, townships, and counties within Georgia may utilize the resulting contract on a convenience basis. Historical spending data indicates total expenditures for promotional products were $9,560,105.89 for fiscal years 2020-2024, with an average of approximately $1.9 million annually, expected to increase as pandemic-related spending restrictions ease.
While no specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions were explicitly detailed in the documentation, the contract appears open to qualified suppliers who can meet GDOT's promotional product requirements. The solicitation does not mention incumbent vendors or existing technological infrastructure integration requirements. The potential contract value suggests significant opportunity, with historical spending indicating a robust market for promotional products across Georgia's governmental ecosystem. The state anticipates potential contract utilization across multiple jurisdictions, creating a potentially lucrative opportunity for vendors capable of meeting the diverse promotional product needs of governmental entities. The total historical spend of nearly $9.6 million across three NIGP codes (Display/Exhibit Materials, Novelties/Promotional Products, and Souvenirs/Prizes) underscores the comprehensive nature of this procurement opportunity. Although GDOT does not guarantee minimum or maximum purchase amounts, the spending trend and expected increase present a promising prospect for selected vendors.
