About this opportunity

Monroe County, Florida is requesting qualifications for professional surveying continuing services under an RFQ with proposals due October 27, 2026. The county anticipates awarding contracts to at least three qualified firms or individuals, with specific projects assigned on a task order basis and no minimum compensation guaranteed to any awardee.

The scope encompasses boundary surveys, Right of Way determinations, specific purpose surveys, topographic analyses, preparation of elevation certificates, and review and graphical interpretation of metes and bounds descriptions. Services will be performed for miscellaneous small jobs across Monroe County on an as-needed basis. Respondents must demonstrate professional qualifications and capability to execute the specified surveying services; the RFQ document itself contains further details regarding pricing structure, evaluation criteria, and proposal submission requirements.

The continuing contract framework establishes a vendor roster rather than a single defined project, allowing Monroe County to distribute work among qualified contractors based on project-specific requirements and availability. The county's selection strategy of retaining at least three firms signals a preference for competitive redundancy and vendor diversity in its surveying procurement.
