About this opportunity

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), specifically the Division of Teaching and Learning, is seeking proposals for a comprehensive science and STEM education support contract covering Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond counties. The solicitation, open indefinitely with a current due date of August 25, 2045, seeks experienced organizations to provide four integrated components: educator professional development, direct student services, family engagement services, and coordination of science/STEM fairs and student competitions. The primary goal is to enhance science and STEM instructional programs, preparing students for postsecondary opportunities and 21st-century careers through high-quality implementation. Proposers may address one or all four components, with an emphasis on creating a coherent approach to science and STEM education. Proposals must be submitted to 65 Court Street, Room 1201, Brooklyn, NY 11201, with electronic copies emailed to DCPSubmissions@schools.nyc.gov. Potential vendors should download the full solicitation from the NYCDOE's vendor information hub and can direct questions to ISPSupport@schools.nyc.gov.

The solicitation does not include a service-disabled veteran-owned business set-aside, indicating open competition for all qualified organizations. The contract term is specified as five years, covering multiple counties within New York State. While specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documentation, the comprehensive nature of the solicitation suggests a potentially significant investment in science and STEM educational support services. Vendors must demonstrate expertise in professional development, student services, family engagement, and event coordination within science and STEM education domains. The procurement appears to be structured as a multiple task award contract, potentially allowing for several vendors to be selected based on their specific strengths and capabilities. Interested organizations should carefully review the full solicitation document and ensure they can meet the integrated educational support requirements across professional development, direct student services, family engagement, and science/STEM event coordination.
