Procurement of Deaerator to include labor, delivery, training, manuals, and removal.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is currently seeking bids to replace a deaerator tank, including labor, delivery, training, manuals, and removal of old equipment at the TDCJ Chase Field Unit located in various jurisdictions within Walker County and the City of Houston, Texas. The procurement involves the supply and installation of a new deaerator tank and related services. Bidders must provide firm, fixed pricing for 30 days after the bid opening, and the contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder that provides the best value to the agency. The bid is due by March 6, 2024, and an amendment has extended the deadline for submitting emails to February 19, 2024.

The TDCJ has determined that subcontracting opportunities are probable under this contract and has set HUB goals for the procurement, including 32.9% for special trade construction contracts. Respondents must complete and submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) with their bid, identifying the portions of work they will subcontract and the percentage of the contract they expect to award to Texas certified Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and non-HUB vendors. The contract will be awarded to the respondent who demonstrates the ability to meet or exceed the TDCJ's HUB goals through their subcontracting plan. The current incumbent is not identified, and the contract value or budget range is not provided.
