About this opportunity
The Town of Manchester, located in Hartford County, Connecticut, is soliciting bids for a print shop paper procurement through Invitation to Bid #24/25-68. The procurement seeks various paper types to support printing needs across approximately thirty-five town departments, with specific requirements for delivery and pricing. Bidders must provide unit costs for paper brands like Springhill, Exact, Metro, Nekoosa, Navigator, and Wausau in multiple sizes and weights, and are expected to deliver paper within three business days of order receipt. The bid was released on June 17, 2025, with questions due by June 23, 2025, and bid responses required by June 25, 2025, at 11:00 am via an electronic Zoom bid opening. The contract term runs from the award date through August 31, 2026, with an option to extend annually for up to five additional one-year periods. Delivery specifications mandate inside delivery to the Print Shop in the Town Hall basement, limited to Monday through Thursday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
The procurement does not explicitly mention set-aside designations or restrictions for specific types of enterprises. Vendors must provide their distributor's price book, indicate column pricing or discount, and commit to passing through any manufacturer price decreases. The town will not pay additional charges for packaging, pallets, or fuel surcharges, and requires vendors to submit specific catalog information, manufacturer price lists, and website details corresponding to the offered discount structure. While no specific budget range is listed, the comprehensive nature of the procurement suggests a significant ongoing investment in print shop supplies. The bid includes prevailing wage documentation requirements, indicating potential compliance standards for vendors. Interested bidders must carefully review the detailed specifications, pricing structures, and delivery requirements to ensure full compliance with the Town of Manchester's procurement guidelines.
