About this opportunity

The County of Santa Clara is requesting prequalification submissions for prime contractors on the O'Connor Hospital NPC 4/5 Seismic Compliance Project under RFSQ-FAF-FY27_263-CP25006-2, with submissions due August 27, 2026. Prequalification is mandatory; the County will establish a Qualified Bidders List and solicit the project from that list for one year, though the County reserves the right to expand solicitation to all contractors, conduct another prequalification, or discontinue the process.

The scope encompasses seismic anchorage of non-structural components and equipment, seismic bracing of utility services, addition of onsite water-supply tanks with filtration and treatment systems, and provision of holding tanks for sewage and liquid waste, all governed by Senate Bill 1953 and California Administrative Code Chapter 6, Article 11. Work requires detailed site surveys and as-built record documents per HCAI's A13 Advisory Guide, along with coordination with the hospital and HCAI to manage construction sequencing and achieve milestone completion. The seismic-compliance regulatory framework and hospital-operational coordination are primary scope drivers.

No contract value, contract term, or place of performance beyond O'Connor Hospital's location in Santa Clara County is specified. No incumbent contractor is named. Evaluation criteria for prequalification are not detailed in this notice.
