About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking competitive bids for the procurement of a power converter through this purchase order solicitation posted on February 20, 2026, with a deadline for submission on February 24, 2026. While specific technical specifications and detailed deliverables are contained within the restricted BidTable accessible only through BONFIRE registration and the "Prepare Your Submission" process, the procurement requires vendors to provide equipment meeting DART's operational requirements. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and timely delivery is emphasized as essential to the order, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. Vendors must demonstrate compliance with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, including submission of commercial warranties guaranteeing merchantable quality and suitability for intended use. The evaluation will prioritize adherence to delivery schedules, price competitiveness, and compliance with DART's contractual requirements.
The procurement documents do not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise preferences, or restrictions limiting participation to particular organizational classifications, suggesting this is an open competitive solicitation available to all qualified vendors. No incumbent contractors or existing infrastructure integration requirements are identified in the available documentation. The solicitation does not disclose a specific budget range or award value; however, vendors should anticipate standard DART payment terms of Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and payment issued within thirty days of invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later. Interested vendors must register with the BONFIRE platform to access complete bid specifications, the detailed BidTable, and project parameters necessary to prepare responsive proposals.

The complete PO Terms and Conditions PDF is available for download in the "Supporting Documentation" section below. **Freight Terms Notice -** Please ensure that all bids/quotes reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with the freight cost included in the overall price. DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. Seller's failure to deliver at the time and rate specified shall be the basis for rejection and default termination by the Authority (*Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority*). **Payment Terms Notice -** All vendors are advised that DART's payment terms are Net 30. Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. Unless otherwise specified, payment will be made on partial deliveries accepted by the Authority when the amount due on such deliveries so warrants. *Invoices will be paid 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later, unless other payment terms have been agreed upon in writing.* **Termination for Default Notice -** The Contracting Officer may by written notice terminate this order, in whole or in part, for failure of the Seller to perform any of the provisions hereof within the time periods specified. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
