About this opportunity
The Town of Groton, located in New London County, Connecticut, is seeking bids for the procurement of Potassium Permanganate through Invitation to Bid (ITB) 24-17. The solicitation is open to all vendors and requires sealed bid submissions to the Office of the Purchasing Agent by May 17, 2024, at 2:30 PM EDT, with public bid opening immediately following. Vendors must complete the furnished blank forms and submit them in a sealed envelope marked "24-17 POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE". The contract period will run from April 1, 2024, to May 17, 2024, with delivery terms specified as Free On Board Destination. Bidders are required to provide information and pricing as requested in the bid specifications, with the Town of Groton reserving the right to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The primary contact for this procurement is Karl Klein, who can be reached at 860-441-6681 or kklein@groton-ct.gov for any questions or clarifications.
The solicitation appears to be unrestricted, with no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises or small businesses. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation, and there are no specified details about existing infrastructure or technology requiring integration. The bid documents do not provide an estimated total contract value or budget range, leaving pricing and financial terms to be determined through the competitive bidding process. Payment terms are to be specified by the vendor, and the Town of Groton will receipt stamp each bid received, with the stamp date taking precedence over any postmark. The solicitation includes multiple document versions (original, revision, and addendum), suggesting potential updates or modifications to the initial bid specifications. Vendors are advised that late submissions will not be considered, and the Town of Groton assumes no liability for postal service delays.
