About this opportunity

The Oregon Department of Corrections Purchasing/Contracts Division is soliciting bids for approximately 40,000 pounds of boneless, fully cooked pork ends and pieces under ITB 2026-ODOC-Pork, with bids due October 23, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. PST. Oregon-fabricated or -processed goods qualify for a 5% preference, and an additional 5% preference applies to vendors headquartered in Oregon, for a combined maximum of 10%.

The scope requires domestic pork ends and pieces meeting detailed nutritional and quality specifications: no more than 330 mg sodium per ounce, maximum 2 grams fat per ounce, maximum 12% water content, gluten-free formulation, and minimum six-month shelf life remaining prior to the best-by date. Mechanically separated goods are not acceptable. Delivery is one full truckload within 45 days of order receipt or as scheduled by warehouse staff, with FOB Destination pricing including all transportation, fuel surcharge, and delivery charges. ODOC reserves the right to accept deliveries in full truckload increments or the total quantity specified in the purchase order, whichever is less. Product is delivered to ODOC's Central Distribution Center in Salem, Oregon. Catch-weight cases (14–40 pound range) are permitted.

Historical pricing from the previous award in January 2026 was $0.49 per pound to LA Foods. Clarifications are due by October 16, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. PST. Award is to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting all specifications.
