About this opportunity

Texas A&M University's Division of Finance and Business Services is requesting bids to establish a pool of vendors for dry cleaning and laundry services on the College Station campus, with proposals due July 16, 2026. The Master Order will commence September 1, 2026 for an initial one-year term with automatic renewal for successive one-year periods, not to exceed five years total.

Vendors selected for single engagements valued at $100,000 or more must complete and obtain approval of a State of Texas Subcontracting Plan to promote opportunities for certified Veteran-Owned Businesses.

The scope includes finished laundry services (coveralls, jackets, lab coats, aprons, uniforms); wash/dry/fold services (linens, towels, rags, mops); dry cleaning services (bedspreads, drapes, shirts, pants, jackets, military uniforms); and specialty services including military creases on cadet uniforms. The ITB covers 72 line items with quantities ranging from 10 to 2,000 units depending on service type, quoted on a per-unit or per-pound-of-in-going-weight basis. Vendors must meet International Fabricare Standards at an "above average" level or better and provide three professional references from the past two years. All deliveries are F.O.B. Destination, Freight Prepaid, with no additional charges for shipping, handling, or fuel surcharges accepted. Pricing must be firm for the duration of the agreement term. Vendors are responsible for full reimbursement at 100 percent of purchase price for any loss, damage, or destruction.

Required insurance includes Worker's Compensation (statutory), Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 each occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate), Business Auto Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), and Excess/Umbrella Liability ($5,000,000 combined total), with the Board of Regents and Texas A&M University System named as additional insureds. Certificates of insurance must be submitted to insurecert@tamu.edu prior to commencing work. Payment terms are Net 30 upon receipt and acceptance. Texas A&M reserves the right to award agreements to one or more vendors and may extend the agreement to other Texas State Agencies classified as Institutions of Higher Education. Vendors may request maximum percentage price increases at renewal periods, submitted at least 30 days prior to the renewal date; if no percentage is indicated, the increase will be assumed to be zero percent.
