About this opportunity
The Pocono Mountain School District is soliciting sealed electronic bids for the Pocono Mountain West High School Natatorium Repairs and Upgrades project through the PennBid Program. The procurement will be conducted through four separate prime contracts: General Construction, HVAC Construction, Plumbing/Fire Protection Construction, and Electrical Construction. Bid documents prepared by Breslin Architects will be available starting January 5, 2026, at no cost via the PennBid platform. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for January 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the high school library, which is highly recommended but not mandatory for potential bidders. Bid submissions are due by 2:00 PM on February 11, 2026, and must include a bid bond or certified check equal to 10% of the total proposal amount. Bidders are required to submit all documentation specified in the Instructions to Bidders and use the PennBid bid forms. All questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted through the PennBid platform's "Ask a Question/Messages" feature.
The solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Bidders will be required to submit comprehensive documentation, including a bid bond from an acceptable surety company or a certified financial instrument. The project is located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, specifically at Pocono Mountain West High School in Pocono Summit. While specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documentation, the comprehensive nature of the repairs and upgrades across multiple construction disciplines suggests a significant investment in the school's natatorium infrastructure. The project involves repairs and upgrades to the existing natatorium, which will likely require contractors with specialized experience in educational facility renovations, swimming pool infrastructure, and multi-discipline construction capabilities.
