About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, is seeking to procure a specific brass plug with a hex head, identified by the procurement number 2097098. This procurement is a straightforward product acquisition with precise specifications for a 3/8P plug. The solicitation requires potential vendors to register through the Bonfire platform to access full bid details and respond to the opportunity. The contract opportunity was posted on December 15, 2025, with proposals due by December 22, 2025. Vendors must adhere to specific submission requirements, including providing quotes that reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall pricing. Key delivery terms emphasize that timely delivery is essential, and failure to meet specified delivery schedules could result in order rejection or default termination. DART has established strict payment terms of Net 30, requiring detailed invoicing with specific documentation including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. The procurement appears open to standard commercial vendors capable of supplying the specified brass plug. Vendors must comply with various legal and procedural requirements, including certifications related to foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycott compliance. The purchase order terms incorporate Texas state law and require vendors to provide products of merchantable quality suitable for intended use. While no specific budget range was provided, the procurement appears to be for a standard inventory replacement part for DART's operational needs. Vendors must be prepared to meet comprehensive quality assurance standards, provide commercial warranties, and adhere to equal employment opportunity provisions. The solicitation suggests DART seeks reliable suppliers who can consistently meet precise technical specifications and delivery timelines for this specific hardware component.
