About this opportunity
The City of Dublin, Georgia issued an RFQ for planning and preliminary design services for a new fire station, with responses due October 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the City of Dublin Purchasing Department.
Respondents must hold valid Georgia professional registration as an architect or engineer of record, demonstrate key personnel availability, establish legal and financial stability, and carry general liability, professional liability, and workers' compensation insurance. The scope encompasses Phase I services including space needs analysis, site analysis and evaluation, conceptual design with renderings, and construction cost estimation. Deliverables include operational and site evaluation reports, building elevations, schematic site plans, project budget, presentation materials, and fifteen copies of the final report with one electronic copy. The proposed station will house six personnel on a 24/7 basis and include administrative offices for the fire chief and administrative assistant, along with a lobby staging area. Phase II services will follow contingent on City approval of the selected schematic design.
Submission requirements include detailed company qualifications, relevant experience on three similar recent projects, staff resumes and organizational charts, detailed project approach and management strategy, and at least three professional references for both the prime firm and any subconsultants. Firms may partner with other firms provided a single lead firm assumes responsibility for all proposal requirements.
Evaluation criteria are qualifications (40 percent), experience (30 percent), project understanding and approach (15 percent), references (10 percent), and financial and legal stability (5 percent). Following RFQ evaluation, the City may invite selected firms for interviews before selecting one firm for contract negotiation. Late submissions are not accepted.
Goodwynn Mills and Cawood was awarded the contract to provide planning and preliminary design services.
