About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotations under RFQ PID-ppbRAE 3000, with responses closing at 2:00 p.m. local time on April 13, 2012.
Electronic submission is required. All questions must be submitted through the Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page; inquiries through other channels are not valid. Vendors are responsible for reviewing all posted questions and answers in the system.
In cases of tied bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. The state reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated in the purchase order.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value to the state, considering quality, conformity to specifications, purpose, delivery date, and ultimate cost. Pricing should be submitted as separate unit prices for each item, delivered to destination, with all trade and quantity discounts included. Cash discounts of 20 days or more are considered in determining the low bidder; discounts under 20 days will not be considered. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, shall be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified.
The state is exempt from federal and Maine state sales and use taxes; quotes should exclude these taxes. The contractor must furnish items exactly as specified on the purchase order; deviation may result in rejection. If the procurement includes hazardous chemicals, current material safety data sheets must be provided to direct purchasers and must comply with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law. The state reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and to waive any formality or technicality.
The source does not identify the specific commodity, quantities, contract value, contract term, or place of performance.
