About this opportunity

The North Strabane Township Municipal Authority is seeking bids for the Pearl Drive Sewer Repair Project (Contract Number 2025-01 - General Construction) located in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The project involves comprehensive sewer infrastructure rehabilitation, including replacement of approximately 400 linear feet of 8-inch sewer main, 200 linear feet of 6-inch laterals, and four manholes. Contractors will be responsible for installing 1,200 linear feet of stabilization trenches with aggregate backfill, performing 700 linear feet of cured-in-place-pipe lining, reconnecting laterals, and restoring all disturbed areas. Bid submissions will be accepted online through PennBID until November 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. local time, with bids to be publicly opened and posted on the platform. Bidders are required to provide bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond for at least 10% of the bid amount. All bidding documents, including potential addenda, will be exclusively available on the PennBID website (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/), and prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to register as plan holders. No pre-bid conference is scheduled for this project.

While the document does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, it provides a comprehensive procurement opportunity for general construction firms specializing in municipal sewer infrastructure projects. The project does not list incumbent vendors or specify existing infrastructure integration requirements. Interested contractors will need to review the detailed project documents available in the 1-Project Documents.zip file, which is approximately 78MB in size. The bidding process emphasizes thorough documentation and online submission through the PennBID platform, suggesting a structured and transparent procurement approach. Although specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the available documentation, the scope of work indicates a substantial municipal infrastructure improvement project involving significant linear footage of sewer main replacement, rehabilitation, and restoration. Potential bidders should carefully review all project documents and be prepared to demonstrate technical capabilities in municipal sewer system construction and rehabilitation.
