About this opportunity

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania is soliciting bids for pavement marking services on county roads and bridges under ITB MCP192233038, with bids due April 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A mandatory pre-bid meeting on April 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Department of Assets and Infrastructure offices is a condition of bid eligibility; failure to attend results in rejection.

The scope encompasses furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to apply thermoplastic and paint markings—centerlines, edge lines, crosswalks, stop bars, symbols, and legends—across the county road and bridge network. Work must conform to PennDOT Publication 408 specifications and Montgomery County standards. Bidders submit unit prices for thermoplastic striping (white and yellow, various widths), painted striping, symbols, legends, crosswalks, and stop bars, with payment based on actual quantities measured in linear feet or square feet.

The contract term is one year from the notice to proceed date. Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price. Insurance requirements include minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. All required documentation—non-collusion affidavits, contractor responsibility forms, and proof of insurance—must be submitted within ten days of award notification.

Work is subject to prevailing wage rates. Bids will be opened publicly immediately after the 11:00 a.m. deadline at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norriton, Pennsylvania.
