About this opportunity
The City of Tucker is requesting qualifications from sign manufacturing companies to provide design-build signage services on an on-demand basis, with qualifications due May 27, 2021. The City intends to establish a qualified vendor list for tasks outside internal staff capacity, working in coordination with Root Design Studio, which prepared the approved Park Signage Master Plan.
The scope spans design assistance (coordinate with RDS to finalize sizes, materials, finishes, fasteners, and connections; recommend alternate solutions to improve fabrication, installation, or maintenance while preserving design intent), fabrication of sign panels and cut letters, and installation of signage components. The City anticipates contracting separately for masonry walls, concrete pillars, and other monument-sign structural elements outside typical sign-manufacturing scope.
The contract term is three fiscal years beginning July 2021 (FY2022). Applicants must submit a statement of qualifications describing credentials for the design, fabrication, and installation services specified. The procurement establishes a qualified-vendor list for recurring, on-demand contracting rather than a single award.

Request for Qualifications: The City of Tucker is seeking qualified sign manufacturing companies to serve in a design-build capacity by providing design assistance, fabrication, and installation services. The City wishes to establish a list of qualified companies to be utilized in an on-demand basis for tasks outside of the capabilities of City staff. Selected companies will work with Root Design Studio (RDS), who has prepared the approved "Park Signage Master Plan" (included), to finalize the design and specifications of the proposed signs. The City anticipates areas of service to include but not be limited to: 1. Design Assistance (coordinate with RDS to finalize sizes, materials, finishes, fasteners, connections, etc., for sign panels, cut letters and other "sign" components as described in the "Park Signage Master Plan" and make recommendations for alternate solutions as may be needed to improve or enhance the design, fabrication, installation and/or maintenance of the proposed signs while still achieving the overall design intent of the master plan); 2. Fabrication (production of sign panels, cut letters and other "sign" components); 3. Installation (of sign panels, cut letters and other "sign" components. The City will likely contract with a secondary contractor to install and erect masonry walls, concrete pillars and other components of the monument signs that would not typically fall under the purview of the sign manufacturing company). The term of service will be three fiscal years beginning in July 2021 (FY2022). Companies should submit a statement of qualifications (SOQ) that describes the Company's credentials for providing the services listed above.
