About this opportunity
The California Department of Food and Agriculture is requesting quotes for snowblowers and accessories under RFQ P26-0083, with quotes due August 4, 2026 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time. This procurement is restricted to California-certified small businesses under Government Code Section 14838.5; all bidders must hold small-business certification prior to the quote due date.
The scope covers eight Honda HSS928AATD electric-start snowblowers, eight snowblower covers, eight battery tenders, 40 packages of shear pin bolts and nuts (10-pack each), 40 individual shear bolt kits, and 10 spark plugs to support operations at the Truckee Border Protection Station. All equipment must be new and in current production; used, shopworn, demonstrator, prototype, or discontinued models are not acceptable. Award will be made on an "All or None" basis, with all items awarded together rather than individually to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Pricing must be all-inclusive, incorporating freight, shipping, and handling charges into unit pricing, with delivery on a Free on Board (Destination) basis prepaid by the contractor. Payment will be made within 45 days of invoice receipt or goods acceptance, whichever is later, in accordance with the California Prompt Payment Act.
Required documentation includes a Commercially Useful Function Statement, Bidder Declaration, Recycled Content Certification, Darfur Contracting Act Certification, and a detailed quote with SKU numbers. If any portion is federally funded, vendors must provide a Unique Entity Identification number and maintain active registration in the System of Award Management. Bidders must certify compliance with California civil rights laws if the contract exceeds $100,000 and must disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence in fulfilling deliverables. Questions are due July 21, 2026.
