About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is pursuing a single-source procurement for Overwatch Imaging's Automated Sensor Operator (ASO) Processor, specifically designed for the Florida Forest Service's aerial surveillance and wildfire detection operations. The procurement includes an ASO processor compatible with the Trakka TC375 gimbal system, an ASO Sim Trainer for training purposes, three days of customer training at a CONUS location, and an annual service agreement providing technical and operational support. This procurement is statutorily mandated and requires potential alternative vendors to submit relevant information by March 17, 2025. The contract will run from the date of execution through June 30, 2025, supporting the Florida Forest Service's statutory responsibilities for wildfire prevention, detection, and suppression under Section 590.01, Florida Statutes. The procurement encompasses AI-powered software for automated sensor operation, image processing, and communications-efficient reporting, with a specific focus on integrating with existing wildfire monitoring infrastructure.
The procurement is limited to a single-source vendor, with Overwatch Imaging identified as the sole source capable of providing the required technological solution. No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the documentation. The existing technology infrastructure involves the Trakka TC375 gimbal system, which requires precise integration with the proposed ASO Processor. The estimated contract amount is $136,000.00, with a maximum potential value of up to $150,000.00. The procurement is specifically targeted to support the Leon County-based Florida Forest Service and will be executed through the state's Vendor Information Portal in accordance with Section 120.57(3) of Florida Statutes. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide comparable commodities or services are invited to submit information demonstrating their capabilities by the specified deadline.
