About this opportunity

Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division is requesting bids for overhead crane and hoist preventative maintenance and repair services across multiple water reclamation facilities, water treatment plants, and pump stations, with bids due August 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. EST and a pre-bid meeting on August 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST.

The scope covers preventative maintenance, annual certifications, and repair services for 32 units (1-ton to 5-ton cranes and hoists from varying manufacturers) in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards. The vendor must complete Collier County Public Utilities Department's Preventative Maintenance Program Annual Crane Inspection Checklist for each unit, submit a minimum of three photos (before, during, after) with each checklist, and provide remarks and repair recommendations. Materials used during preventative maintenance—grease, lubricants, fluids, filters, and sundries—must be included in the unit rate price with no separate invoicing. Equipment and parts exceeding $250 individually may be invoiced at cost plus 10% markup, excluding tariffs, sales tax, and freight. All work must comply with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, ASME, CMAA, and other applicable safety and industry standards.

The contract term is three years with two optional one-year renewal periods; prices remain firm during the initial term. The County anticipates annual spending of approximately $50,000, though this is not indicative of future buying patterns. The bid schedule includes unit pricing for preventative maintenance and certifications (line items 1–14) and hourly rates for recommended repairs (line items 15–19). Urgent requests require one-hour acknowledgment and three-hour on-site response, compensated at 1.5 times straight-time rates. Normal requests require 12-hour acknowledgment. Repair quotes must be provided within three business days and require County Representative approval before work begins. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder offering best value.
