About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB605CO23001822) for the Osage Beach Project Office Lab Building Metal Siding Project located in Miller County. The procurement seeks a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive renovation work, including removing existing vinyl siding, installing new 2x horizontal framing, rigid insulation, fascia, louvers, and fans. Specific project requirements include relocating an existing passage door and frame, boxing in an overhead door opening, managing electrical devices in place, and restoring disturbed areas with seeding and mulching. The bid solicitation period runs from February 8, 2023, to March 6, 2023, with bids due by 2:00 PM CST on the closing date. Potential contractors can schedule site visits by contacting Allen Wankum, and written questions must be submitted by February 21, 2023, at 3:00 PM, with any addenda to be posted by February 22, 2023. The contract requires completion by June 14, 2023, including fifteen days for submittals, and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on a comprehensive evaluation of the submitted bid.
The project encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE), with suggested participation goals of 10% MBE and 5% WBE. Bidders must submit a bid bond or equivalent guarantee of 5% of the bid amount, and the successful contractor will be required to provide a 100% performance and payment bond. Insurance requirements include general liability coverage of $500,000 per person/$4,000,000 per occurrence, automobile liability with similar coverage, and workers' compensation insurance. Prevailing wage rates will be applied according to Annual Wage Order #29 for Miller County, and the contract includes liquidated damages of $300 per day for late completion. Contractors must comply with E-Verify requirements, demonstrate lawful presence in the United States, and provide proof of required insurance coverage. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated in the documentation, the project involves comprehensive building envelope renovation and will likely represent a significant infrastructure investment for the MoDOT facility.
