About this opportunity
The Rockland County Office of Fire and Emergency Services is seeking to procure two specialized shipping containers through a competitive quote process. The procurement specifically targets two distinct 30-foot shipping containers: the first being a standard configuration measuring 30 feet long by 8 feet wide by 8.6 feet high, and the second being a high cube variant measuring 30 feet long by 8 feet wide by 9.6 feet tall. Both containers must feature double outward swinging doors with lockable mechanisms. Key requirements include that the containers must be brand new, unused, and accompanied by a 1-year warranty. The containers will be delivered to Pomona, NY, with shipping costs included in the quoted price. The solicitation was posted on June 4, 2025, with quotes due by June 12, 2025. Rockland County reserves the right to award line items individually, providing flexibility in the procurement process. Vendors must specify their proposed delivery timeline (ARO - After Receipt of Order) for each container in their submission.
While the documentation does not explicitly indicate specific set-aside designations or vendor restrictions, the procurement appears open to standard commercial vendors capable of meeting the technical specifications. The attached Appendix A General Terms and Conditions document suggests comprehensive requirements for bidders, including compliance with local laws, ethics standards, and workforce regulations. The document implies potential integration with existing county emergency services infrastructure, though specific details are not provided. No explicit budget range or estimated contract value is listed in the available documentation. The procurement seems focused on acquiring standardized shipping containers that can be utilized by the Rockland County Office of Fire and Emergency Services, likely for storage, mobile command centers, or emergency response equipment staging. The comprehensive terms and conditions suggest a structured, professional procurement process designed to ensure quality and compliance in the county's purchasing activities.
