The procurement is focused on securing comprehensive streetlight maintenance services specifically related to LED infrastructure within the county. Potential contractors must be prepared to provide detailed maintenance and repair services for municipal streetlight systems, with a particular emphasis on LED technology. The Request for Proposals (RFP) contains full contract specifications and submission requirements, which can be accessed through the county's public works website. Key deadlines include an optional proposers' conference scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at 9 a.m. via Microsoft Teams, and a proposal submission deadline of Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. Interested parties can direct questions to Ms. Amber Albert at (626) 458-4199 or Mr. Jairo Flores at (626) 458-4069, with contact hours Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The county has implemented mandatory registration requirements for potential bidders, requiring firms to create an account on the 'Do Business with Public Works' website and register specifically as a plan holder for this RFP. The procurement includes provisions for local business preferences, specifically mentioning the Local Small Business Enterprise (LSBE) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise programs, which suggests potential set-aside or preference status for qualifying businesses. While specific award values were not detailed in the provided documentation, the contract appears to be an ongoing, on-call maintenance service arrangement. Proposers must complete comprehensive registration through https://dpw.lacounty.gov/contracts/opportunities.aspx, with the understanding that only registered firms will receive automatic notifications about RFP updates. The county emphasizes that it has no obligation to notify proposers outside of the website's automatic notification system, placing the responsibility on potential contractors to actively monitor the solicitation.
