About this opportunity
Park County Public Works is seeking competitive bids for an on-call heavy equipment and operator contract through Invitation for Bid (IFB PW2025-006), targeting equipment services throughout Park County, Colorado. The procurement encompasses multiple equipment types including motor graders, plow trucks, dozers, front-end loaders, road reclaimers/grinders, and excavators, with primary functions focused on snow removal, road maintenance, emergency weather response, and disaster mitigation. Bidders must provide both equipment and qualified operators for services such as snow clearing, road grading, material hauling, culvert installation, and emergency situation management. The bid response is due February 12th, 2025, at 1:30 PM MST, with an anticipated project duration of approximately 12 months beginning in February 2025. Evaluation criteria will likely include pricing, equipment availability, operator qualifications, and compliance with CDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and Park County Road and Bridge Standards. Electronic bid submissions must be made through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing website, with bidders required to provide references and disclose potential conflicts of interest.
While no specific set-aside designations were explicitly mentioned, bidders must comply with workers' authorization requirements and provide a five percent project bond. The contract will be priced on an hourly basis for each equipment type with operator, following "Net 30" payment terms. Park County reserves significant discretion in the bidding process, including the ability to reject non-conforming materials or work, waive technical errors, and negotiate optional items with the successful bidder. The county anticipates issuing a notice of award within two weeks of bid closure, suggesting a relatively quick procurement timeline. No incumbent vendors were specifically identified in the documentation, and no precise budget range was provided. Interested vendors should carefully review the complete bid documentation and be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive equipment capabilities, operational readiness, and compliance with all specified technical and administrative requirements.
