This is a two-year contract running from July 2026 through June 2028, with the Town reserving the right to extend or renew thereafter and to cancel at any time.
Proposers must be Connecticut-licensed firms with three years of demonstrated experience performing similar services for similarly-sized Connecticut municipalities. The scope encompasses mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), structural, and civil engineering services for various building projects on an as-needed basis.
Pricing must be submitted using the Town's electronic pricing table on an hourly or per-unit basis, including all labor, materials, travel charges, mileage, truck fees, and miscellaneous expenses. No specific contract value or budget range is identified. Proposers must maintain worker's compensation coverage at statutory limits, comprehensive general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, professional liability of at least $1,000,000, umbrella liability of at least $1,000,000, and comprehensive automobile liability of $1,000,000 per accident, with the Town named as an additional insured.
Evaluation criteria include relevant experience, responsiveness to RFP requirements, reference quality, and fee competitiveness; the Town may conduct interviews during selection. Proposals must include a complete proposal excluding pricing, three references, a Certificate of Insurance, a W-9 form, and written confirmation of agreement to RFP terms. All proposals become Town property and are subject to Connecticut Freedom of Information Act provisions. The Town is tax-exempt and will not pay federal excise or state sales taxes.
