About this opportunity
The County of Sonoma is requesting quotations for on-call electric vehicle charging station vendors to support climate action, facility and fleet modernization, employee clean-commute programs, transit electrification, and equitable public charging access, with proposals due November 6, 2026.
The solicitation is coordinated with the Equitable EV Charging for Sonoma planning study led by Kittelson & Associates, the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA), and the Regional Climate Protection Authority (RCPA). The planning study is anticipated to complete in November 2026, with findings potentially used to prioritize future charging station sites and service requirements. The County's active planning includes an interactive survey map identifying existing and potential stations and soliciting comments, site nominations, and business-host nominations.
The RFQ permits multiple bids per vendor and allows edits to submitted bids prior to the November 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST deadline. The bidding event opened September 24, 2026 at 9:02 a.m. PST. Questions should be directed to Forrest Corson at the SPI-Capital Projects email address.
The bid notice does not specify contract value, contract term length, renewal options, pricing structures, vendor qualifications, scope-of-work detail, award criteria, set-asides, or preference programs. Additional solicitation documents typically contain these terms.
