About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of General Services, Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for one new 28-foot by 8-foot office trailer for MaineDOT Fleet Services under RFQ, with quotations due April 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
The trailer must feature a three-room configuration with front room 11' × 6", middle room 7' × 11", and end room 8' × 6", insulated walls, ceilings, and floors, dual exterior doors with locks and windows, 120/240-volt electrical service with fluorescent lighting, dark vinyl flooring, deluxe aluminum siding, emergency egress windows, and full compliance with applicable OSHA and federal safety codes. The unit must be fully inspected, serviced, assembled, and ready for operation upon delivery. All deliveries must occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The contract commences May 1, 2017 and concludes April 30, 2018, with two optional one-year renewal periods extending through April 30, 2020. Quotations must be submitted through the State's AdvantageME Vendor Self Service system on a firm, fixed-price basis excluding tax (Maine is tax-exempt on articles not for resale). Pricing must remain valid for 180 days from bid opening.
Evaluation will be conducted on a best-value basis considering conformity with specifications, delivery date, and lowest price among conforming bids. The successful bidder is responsible for all repair and parts costs during the warranty period and must provide manufacturer's warranty documentation with the proposal. A liquidated damages clause of $50 per unit per day applies for delivery delays beyond the negotiated schedule, excluding delays caused by acts of God or circumstances beyond the contractor's reasonable control.
The State reserves the right to authorize other state departments to utilize the resulting contract and requests bidders indicate willingness to extend contract pricing to political subdivisions and school districts in Maine.
