The contractor must be licensed by the California Medical Board with board certification in pulmonology, neurology, or otolaryngology, and possess certification from the American Board of Sleep Medicine. The primary deliverables include recording, interpreting, and reporting diagnostic sleep medicine services to evaluate sleep disorders, with the contractor responsible for providing all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance, and personnel. The original bid submission deadline was February 10, 2016, at 3:30 p.m., with a public bid opening at 4:00 p.m., and the anticipated contract term spanning from April 1, 2016, through June 30, 2018. The procurement includes set-aside preferences for Small Businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), offering a 5% bid preference for certified small businesses and potential incentives up to 5% for DVBE participation. The contractor must maintain commercial general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, along with professional liability insurance of $1 million per claim and $2 million aggregate. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed, the compensation will be determined by the Medicare Fee Schedule and the specific procedural codes applied to the sleep medicine services rendered. The contract aims to ensure that clinical evaluations and documentation meet the requirements and standards set forth by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations regarding community care licensing and the Department of Justice.
