The contractor must be authorized by the manufacturer to provide both non-warranty and warranty repair services.

The City applies local-business and small-business discounts to bid evaluation: up to 5 percent for bids under $500,000 and 3 percent for bids between $500,000 and $50 million. After that initial period, either party may request a price adjustment on the anniversary date, capped at the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (CPI-U). The contract commences upon execution and continues until all obligations are performed, with the City holding the option to extend beyond the initial term at its sole discretion. Specific contract term length is not stated.
