October produce

The state of Pennsylvania, specifically Lackawanna County and Dale Borough, is seeking a vendor to provide fresh produce for the State Correctional Institution (SCI) Retreat during October 2014. This procurement opportunity, identified by the contract ID 66d5eaea323913d9c80acda1, is focused on delivering fresh produce to meet the institutional food service requirements for the specified month. The solicitation was originally posted on August 27, 2014, with a proposal submission deadline of September 9, 2014. Potential vendors must be capable of consistently delivering high-quality produce to meet the nutritional needs of the correctional facility. The procurement appears to be a straightforward supply contract with specific requirements for fresh produce delivery throughout the month of October.

While the documentation does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific vendor qualifications, the contract seems to be open to qualified produce suppliers who can meet the institutional delivery requirements. No specific information is provided about incumbent vendors or existing contractual arrangements. The scope suggests a relatively modest procurement focused on meeting the monthly produce needs of SCI Retreat. Without detailed budget information, the contract value appears to be limited to the cost of fresh produce for a single month's institutional food service requirements. Vendors interested in responding to this opportunity would need to demonstrate their ability to source, prepare, and deliver fresh produce consistently and in compliance with institutional food service standards.
