About this opportunity

Erdman Anthony, a consulting firm, has been retained by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to investigate and monitor the displacement of the NYS Route 36 Bridge over Troups Creek in the Town of Troupsburg, Steuben County. The procurement seeks a qualified consultant to provide continuous bridge monitoring using a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-based monitoring system for a one-year period. The primary objective is to document the amount and direction of bridge displacement to determine the root cause of structural movement. Proposals will be accepted via email until August 8, 2025, with a non-public bid opening process. Interested consultants must submit their proposals directly to Email@erdmananthony.com and demonstrate technical capability in GNSS monitoring and structural displacement analysis. The project is specifically located in the Town of Troupsburg, with jurisdictional connections to Suffolk County and Verona CDP, though the primary work site is in Steuben County.

The contract opportunity does not include a service-disabled veteran-owned business set-aside, indicating open competition for qualified consultants. No specific budget range or award value was disclosed in the original solicitation. The procurement appears to be a specialized technical consulting engagement requiring expertise in structural monitoring, GNSS technologies, and bridge displacement analysis. No incumbent vendors were identified in the procurement documentation. The project will require advanced technical capabilities in satellite-based monitoring systems, structural engineering, and precise measurement techniques. Potential respondents should be prepared to provide comprehensive monitoring solutions that can accurately track and document bridge movement over a sustained one-year monitoring period.
