About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is issuing a purchase order for nuts, fasteners, steel components, motors, and truck assembly materials, as documented under procurement number 2097703 in Dallas County, Texas. The procurement requires vendors to submit bids through BONFIRE registration, with detailed specifications and vendor response fields accessible through the in-browser BidTable after initiating the preparation process. All deliverables must comply with DART's Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, with delivery time and rate deemed essential to the order; seller failure to deliver as specified constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. Vendors must provide commercial warranties certifying that all supplies are of merchantable quality, suitable for intended use, and comply with specifications. The bid submission deadline is February 13, 2026, with the posting date of January 27, 2026, providing approximately two weeks for bid preparation and submission. Freight terms must reflect FOB Destination shipping with costs included in the overall bid price, and inspection and acceptance will occur at destination unless otherwise specified.

Payment will be made on Net 30 terms, calculated as 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org. Vendors must comply with equal opportunity employment provisions, provide certification that they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's Foreign Terrorist Organization list, and certify that neither they nor their affiliates boycott Israel. Risk of loss remains with the seller until delivery and acceptance, except when loss results from authority negligence, and the contracting officer retains the right to issue written change orders with claims for equitable adjustment required within 30 days of receipt. The procurement opportunity document does not specify set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, incumbent vendors, current contractors, or award value ranges; interested vendors should access the complete BidTable and supporting documentation through BONFIRE for comprehensive procurement details and specific line-item pricing information.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
