About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is procuring a quantity of Grade 8 nuts, specifically 9/16"-18 size fastening hardware, supplied in a box of 25 units. This is a straightforward purchase order procurement under Dallas County, Texas jurisdiction, with the primary objective being the acquisition of specified fastening hardware to support DART's operational needs. The deliverable consists of commercial-grade nuts that must meet Grade 8 specifications and comply with all applicable standards for merchantable quality and suitability for intended use. Vendors must provide commercial warranties ensuring compliance with all specifications, and time and rate of deliveries are deemed essential to the order, with failure to meet delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. The submission deadline is January 28, 2026, with the opportunity posted on January 21, 2026, allowing seven days for vendor preparation and submission through the Bonfire platform's BidTable system.

The procurement documentation does not specify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting participation to disadvantaged enterprises, small businesses, or other protected classes, indicating this appears to be an open procurement available to qualified vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available solicitation materials. Payment terms are established at Net 30 days from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt date, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Vendors must comply with equal opportunity employment provisions and federal and state certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycott prohibitions. The specific award value or budget range is not disclosed in the posted opportunity materials; however, pricing must include all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, with DART exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes such that any taxes included on invoices will be deducted from payment amounts.
