About this opportunity
The Los Angeles County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services - Parks Division is seeking a vendor to provide and deliver nursery stock (plants) through a competitive procurement process. The solicitation requires a vendor to supply 17 different plant species, with quantities ranging from 20 to 100 units per species, including specific varieties like Salvia clevelandii, Muhlenbergia rigens, and Podocarpus macrophyllus. Delivery is the only required service, with no installation component. The contract award will be based on the lowest price, with pricing required to remain valid from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Vendors must provide pricing for all listed plant species to be considered responsive, and any incomplete bid will be deemed non-responsive. The submission deadline is July 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm, with a question submission deadline of July 18, 2024. Vendors are required to have a local warehouse within 50 miles of Pasadena City Limits and demonstrate the capability to deliver materials within 3 business days of order placement.
The procurement appears to have several requirements related to vendor qualifications and documentation. Vendors must complete various forms, including an Affidavit of Equal Opportunity Employment, a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) form, and a Relevant Experience Form documenting five previous projects. While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed, the documentation suggests a focus on equal opportunity employment and workforce diversity. The solicitation includes provisions for living wage ordinance compliance and potential business license requirements. Vendors must provide factory warranties on all materials and will be subject to quality assurance inspections. While a specific award value is not specified, the comprehensive nature of the procurement suggests a significant contract for nursery stock supply. Vendors must submit their bid electronically through the City's eProcurement Portal and comply with various administrative and documentation requirements outlined in the solicitation materials.
