The scope requires removal of existing railroad tie material and installation of new limestone and crushed granite steps down to the creek at the park's location in Fredericksburg, Texas. The contractor must furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and incidentals. The contract term is thirty calendar days from Notice to Proceed or Authorization to Proceed. Work must be performed during or outside regular business hours (7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday), with contractor hours scheduled in advance with the TPWD Project Manager. The contractor is responsible for daily jobsite cleanup and final debris removal. Upon completion, the contractor must provide manufacturer's warranties on all installed products and warrant material and labor for one year. A bid security bond of 5% of the total bid amount is required for contracts exceeding $25,000.

Insurance requirements include Workers' Compensation (statutory), Commercial General Liability ($1 million each occurrence, $2 million aggregate), and Automobile Liability ($1 million combined single limit), with the State of Texas listed as an additional insured. TPWD will withhold 10% retainage until all work is accepted and warranty documents are provided. Liquidated damages of $500 per week apply for failure to complete work within the specified timeframe. Payment is made within 30 days of receipt of a properly prepared invoice. The contract is contingent upon continued availability of funding through state appropriations.

Site visits are non-mandatory but strongly encouraged and must be scheduled in advance with Park Superintendent Elizabeth Mabry at 830-765-8101 or Elizabeth.mabry@tpwd.texas.gov.
