About this opportunity
The Norwalk Redevelopment Agency is seeking proposals from qualified historic preservation consultants to conduct a comprehensive city-wide survey of cultural and architectural resources in Norwalk, Connecticut. The project will be executed over approximately nine months, divided into four distinct phases: Phase I involves identifying available historic resources and developing a detailed survey methodology; Phase II focuses on identifying specific properties to be surveyed and producing sample inventory forms; Phase III requires the production of complete draft inventory forms for agency review; and Phase IV culminates in the delivery of final inventory forms, reports, comprehensive data, and mapping. Consultants must demonstrate expertise in historic preservation and the ability to systematically document and analyze architectural and cultural resources throughout the city. The solicitation was released on December 28, 2022, with a vendor question and answer period running from December 28, 2022, to January 10, 2023, and proposals are due by January 27, 2023, at 4:00 PM EST. The primary contact for this opportunity is Jonathan Hopkins at the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency, located at 3 Belden Ave in Norwalk, Connecticut.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) appears to be open to all vendors without specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. No incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation. The RFP specifies Free on Board Destination delivery terms with vendor-specified payment terms, and no estimated total contract value is provided in the solicitation documents. The project will be limited to the jurisdiction of Fairfield County in Connecticut and requires consultants to have specialized knowledge in historic preservation documentation and survey methodologies. Potential respondents should be prepared to provide comprehensive documentation of cultural and architectural resources, including detailed inventory forms, comprehensive reports, and geospatial mapping that meets the agency's specific requirements for historical documentation.
