The scope covers hearing aids, batteries, ear molds, telecoils, microphones, hearing aid components, hearing devices such as bed shakers and doorbell signalers, and basic prosthetic and orthopedic devices and services under object codes F07 and R07 in the state's Expenditure Classification Handbook. Existing qualified bidders under the current hearing aids RFR (BD-18-1071-AO-CON01-21635) will have their qualification extended until October 31, 2026. New bidders must respond to and become qualified vendors under the new solicitation to provide services for state fiscal year 2027 and beyond. All interested vendors and offerors must register at www.COMMBUYS.com at no charge and submit quotes through online electronic submission via COMMBUYS. Successful contractors must maintain active COMMBUYS accounts throughout the contract term.
Respondents should demonstrate experience supplying medical items and prosthetics to consumers with disabilities. Training resources, including job aids, webcast videos, and instructor-led sessions, are available to assist bidders with the submission process. Technical support is available through the COMMBUYS Helpdesk via website, email at COMMBUYS@state.ma.us, or telephone at 1-888-MA-STATE (1-888-627-8283), Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern time, excluding federal and state holidays.
