About this opportunity

The State of Maine's Division of Purchases is requesting bids for Nintendo Wii video game systems, with bids due February 18, 2010. A preference for in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine applies in cases of tie bids with equal price, quality, and availability.

Unit prices must be submitted separately for each item unless otherwise specified. Sealed bids or electronic quotes must be delivered to the Division of Purchases, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine by the closing date and time; bids received after the deadline will not be considered. Bidders should specify terms and cash discounts, though discounts under 20 days are not considered in contract award determinations due to standard accounting procedures.

Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations, including quality, conformity with specifications, purpose, delivery date, and ultimate cost. All transportation charges, including freight and handling, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified in the bid. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and bidders should quote prices exclusive of these taxes. The Division of Purchases reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent of any ordered items unless otherwise stated, and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, and accept any item or combination of items deemed in the best interest of Maine. Deviations from specified items constitute grounds for rejection.
