About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Public Health has issued an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) for Newborn Screening (NBS) Forms through the State Purchasing Act, seeking to establish a contract with qualified suppliers to provide specialized printed forms. The procurement specifically requires newborn screening specimen collection forms to be printed by printers operating within a Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved facility that meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001-2008 certification standards. The solicitation was posted on June 27, 2025, with proposals due by July 25, 2025, indicating a roughly 28-day response window. Key deliverables include high-quality, standardized forms used for newborn screening processes, with strict requirements around manufacturing location and quality control certifications. The primary objective is to secure a reliable source of compliant screening forms for the state's public health documentation and infant health monitoring systems.

While the document does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific restrictions on respondent types, the technical requirements suggest a specialized manufacturing capability that may limit potential vendors. The procurement appears focused on technical competence and compliance with federal and international quality standards rather than minority or disadvantaged business enterprise considerations. No incumbent vendors or existing contract details are provided in the available information. Similarly, no specific budget range or contract value is indicated in the current documentation. The contract will likely be awarded to the most technically compliant and potentially most cost-effective supplier meeting the FDA and ISO certification requirements for form production.
