About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a Validator S/A Bill (BV08) component through a purchase order procurement process. The opportunity, posted on January 21, 2026, with a submission deadline of January 28, 2026, seeks qualified vendors to supply this transit validation equipment. Bidders must access the complete project details and specifications through the Bonfire registration portal by initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process and accessing the in-browser BidTable, where detailed requirements and vendor response fields are located. Vendors must meet DART's mandatory requirements including providing supplies of merchantable quality that fully comply with product descriptions and specifications, backed by the most favorable commercial warranties offered to any customer. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Timely delivery is critical, as the seller's failure to deliver at specified times and rates constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. The procurement is governed by DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, available for download in the Supporting Documentation section.

The solicitation documentation does not specify whether this procurement includes set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, small businesses, or other protected classes, nor does it identify any incumbent vendors or current contractors. Similarly, information regarding the specific budget range or award value for this validator equipment procurement is not disclosed in the available materials. Vendors should be aware that all purchase orders are subject to DART's standard terms, including Net 30 payment terms with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org, and that all transactions are governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County. Additionally, sellers must certify that they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's foreign terrorist organization contractor list and must verify non-boycott status regarding Israel as a condition of award. Interested vendors are strongly encouraged to review the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions PDF and all supporting documentation available through the Bonfire platform to ensure full compliance with DART's procurement requirements and operational expectations.
