About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of a NEW MODULE, CPU-500, PANEL, FIRE ALARM, NOTIFIER through a competitive bidding process identified by requisition number 2094444. This procurement opportunity was posted on August 11, 2025, with proposals due by August 14, 2025, and requires mandatory Bonfire registration to access complete bid details. The solicitation is specifically for fire alarm equipment, with strict delivery requirements emphasizing that time and rate of deliveries are critical to the contract. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and DART will not typically accept alternative shipping arrangements. Potential bidders must adhere to specific invoice submission guidelines, including sending three copies to APInvoices@dart.org with detailed line-item information such as purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement includes standard compliance requirements such as equal employment opportunity provisions and certifications that the vendor is not on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with contracts with foreign terrorist organizations. The contract will be governed by Texas state law, with any legal disputes to be resolved in Dallas County. Payment terms are strictly Net 30, meaning vendors will be compensated 30 days from invoice or order receipt. The procurement allows for potential termination by DART for seller's failure to meet contractual provisions, underscoring the importance of vendor performance and compliance. Though specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the technical specificity of the fire alarm module suggests this is a specialized procurement with potential for a substantial equipment investment. Vendors must carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions PDF, which provides comprehensive guidelines for the transactional relationship between DART and the selected seller.
